Consistent with its mission to assist municipal entities to achieve cost savings and further their sustainability objectives, and its ongoing efforts to keep members apprised of the latest developments in the energy sector, NJ SEM recently offered a webinar in July 2021 about the fast-developing Electric vehicle (“EV”) marketplace.
The webinar, which was also approved by the DCA for Continuing Education Credits, was designed to help educate local government officials on the basics of EVs, the State’s strategies to reduce carbon emissions from vehicles, and the role that local government can play.
The webinar describes current grant funding opportunities and the upcoming State and public utility incentive programs that are underway and in development, and the need for advanced planning to support local government’s potential role. NJ SEM members can also learn more about EV programs and catch-up on the latest EV incentives by calling the NJ SEM energy professionals’ EV Hotline at (866) SEM-EVHL, available exclusively to NJ SEM members.
